02 / GUS DIY
GUS DIY is the generic edition: a small core library plus the readable reference files you choose. Build a local knowledge drive for a hobby, workshop, project or personal field library.
Collect your manuals, notes, saved web pages, PDFs and GPS files. GUS preserves the reference files, extracts readable content, builds a local index and retrieves source passages when you search or ask.
Adding files builds an index; it does not retrain the language model or turn imperfect source material into verified advice.
DIY Android is unfinished and is not supplied. The North Georgia APK is a different edition.
FROM EMPTY FOLDER TO USEFUL LIBRARY
Extract the complete DIY demo to a new folder on your Windows computer, USB drive or external SSD. Keep the launcher, System and OWNER_FILES together.
Choose a few documents you have permission to use. Clear, searchable text is easier to verify than a large stack of scans. Keep your originals and backups elsewhere.
Copy supported files into the top-level OWNER_FILES folder. Open GUS DIY, choose My Files, then Scan My Files. Refresh alone does not import documents.
Start with a question whose answer you can check in a known document. Inspect the numbered citation; for a PDF, use View Cited Page to check the original image.
Check edits, rescans and restart behavior on a test library. Add files gradually. Safely eject a portable drive after the app has closed and all writes finish.

Organize your own reference notes, saved pages and readable PDFs around the topics you return to.
Bring your own GPX, KML or KMZ material. Imported geometry is a reference; it does not confirm current conditions or permission.
AN INDEPENDENT PROJECT
